Western Kentucky



In western Kentucky, many areas are covered in post-glacial loess. Raised a lot of questions for me before I put it together.

These next photos are from an abandoned coal strip mine in eastern Henderson county near Spottsville.

Nashville Tennessee
This is a brand new pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland River in east Nashville.





This delta is built from a weekend storm and the last stages of cleanup. The new bridge are has more channelized drainage nearby. Neat. I suppose high water along the Cumberland slows scour on the banks.
