Ellis speaks to you! (15s video)

On these two shorts videos, you can't see much as the lights were almost out! But hear the enthusiastic audience!

Well it could have started off better! Got a phone call on Sunday at 5 from Karel, the show organizer, saying we'd probably have to cancel the gig due to the limited number of reservations... Then I called Ellis at the Hotel and he tells me that neither his guitars, not his luggage have arrived! They should be in Paris the next day... So what do we do? Well I'll bring my guitar and we'll see. The next good news is that the owner of the Hotel du Nord is sick in bed and that the show will finally take place at the Sound Gallery, Karel's office next to the Hotel. See what happens...

And it finally did happen! And what a great show. Some 50 people showed up, which is not bad two days before Christmas. Ellis tuned my guitar and Karel's too and started the set at 8.30.
I don't have a set list but he played 18, Maria's beautiful mess, All things being the same, Speed of the trees, Translucent Soul, Last Call, Paris in Day, and many more which Katryn will probably remember... He did also Words, Let it Be, and Beautiful World a capella. Well he played for over two hours...

It was a really wonderful show, unplugged, with most people knowing the songs and singing in tune on Last call and Paris in A day.

Two weeks ago, that show was just a dream, tonight it was for real and I'm sure we'll have Ellis on a real stage again soon.

You understand we had a very special christmas present last night in pAris. Thank you Ellis!

Merry christmas to you all.
